KASHMIR MUSIC LESSON POLICY
1. Kashmir Music’s ½ hour lesson rate is $19/lesson, $76 a month for months with four lesson days, $95 for months with five lessons days.
2. Lessons payments are due and will be paid for in full at the first lesson of the month. Monthly payments are non-refundable. If payment is not received one week after the date due, lessons will be suspended until payment is received. (No exceptions)
3. Students who attend lessons regularly will show the greatest musical progress. Tuition is not reduced for missed lessons. This includes missed lessons due to vacation or illness. Emergencies will be handled on a case by case basis. Every effort will be made to reschedule a make-up lesson.
Our aim is for Kashmir, teacher, parent and student to work together in order to help your child get the most out of his/her musical education. Tuition not only covers a students monthly lesson fee, but also the fees for bi-yearly recitals and recital hall rentals, exceptional educational learning tools purchased specifically for lesson room use, and a comfortable, clean and pleasant environment for learning.
4. Music Lessons are fun, motivating, exciting and inspirational. We expect a certain level of commitment from each student. Students should come to lessons prepared, each song practiced and homework completed. Setting aside time each day for practice is expected and will help your child get the most out of his/her musical education. Often we find that if the parent does not make lessons and practice a priority, neither does the student. It is at the teacher’s discretion to discontinue lessons should they become a chore and unenjoyable for the student.
5. Appropriate behavior in lessons is expected and appreciated. Kashmir will not discipline students during lessons. If behavior is inappropriate, the lesson will end.
